As we begin Holy Week, may we remember our Jewish friends and give thanks for their faith and wisdom, which has so much to offer our world today.

 

Tues 4

Suffering Servant - (Isaiah 49) As I experience pain and hurt in my own life. Teach me through my sufferings. Let me learn and grow through them.

 

Wed 5

“One of you is about to betray me” Mt 26:21

May we stand strong and confident, trusting in God in the face of betrayal.

 

HOLY THURSDAY 6

I gave you my supper,

I gave you my sustenance,

I gave you my life,

I gave you me.

I gave you EUCHARIST.

Contemplate Jesus being lifted up on the cross and hanging there before all the people passing by.

Jesus help us to listen before speaking, to respect and understand the opinions of others and to trust each other with openness and vulnerability

Do not go where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

Risen Jesus lead me to Easter moments. Clear my mind and open my heart so I can see the surprising little joys that are waiting to greet me today.

Sit with Jesus in prayer and receive Jesus’ offer of peace.  The moment we choose peace, it is ours.

Live in the Sunshine,

Swim in the Sea,

Drink the wild air (Breath of the Spirit)

Take an Awe walk using your 5 senses, around your garden being mindful of the beauty of God’s creation.

St Ignatius said that love ought to be shown in deeds rather than in words.  If your deeds could speak, what statement did you make in the past 24 hours?

 

Tues 18

Sit outside in nature and take some deep breaths. Free yourself from the burden of the past you cannot change. Just Let Go

 

Wed 19

When you arise each morning think of what a privilege it is to be alive, to think, to love and pray.

Thurs 20

Invite Jesus into your boat of life. “Then Jesus got into the boat with them, and the wind ceased. And they were astonished.”

 

Fri 21

There is something profoundly Eucharistic in the experience of a family meal when we come together regularly.

Sit quietly with something from nature (a plant, a tree, clouds) and just be with this part of creation and let it speak to you.
