On 26 March 2020, New Zealand went into lockdown – the whole country was given two days to prepare to shut down for four weeks. This was to stop the spread of the pandemic coronavirus that was killing people in alarming and rising numbers all around the world. It was two weeks before Easter, we couldn’t visit our friends or our family, we couldn’t go to cafés or cinemas or concerts, we couldn’t go to Mass or receive Communion.
Here follows the poetry and the reflections of each Sunday’s gospel shared by our Cenacle through that time when we were apart from each other and from our Church community.
